Dacromet 500 LC
Hydrogen embrittlement? DACROMET 500 LC!
Dacromet is a surface treatment that is being used more and more for applications requiring high levels of protection against corrosion.
Dacromet consists of an anorganic carrier to which zinc and aluminium particles are bonded. These particles are passivated beforehand to build up the best possible resistance against corrosion.
As well as electrolytic galvanizing, there is an increasing demand for better corrosion protection in the form of evenly distributed thin layers. With Dacromet Grade A, the resulting layer is such that no fitting problems should arise because of the surface coating.
Using Dacromet completely removes the risk of cracking caused by hydrogen embrittlement. The creators of Dacromet have succeeded in developing a technique that satisfies even the most stringent environmental requirements. Hence the addition of LC (low chromium) to the product's name, but no reduction in its powerful corrosion resistance. FABORY Group keeps all types of Dacromet in stock.
