Decentralised stock

A ‘decentralised’ stock is a stock of articles that is normally intended for one single assembly unit. The fasteners are delivered directly to the place where they are to be used.

A certain degree of predictability and a substantial volume and frequency of consumption form the basis for an effective decentralised stock. If these conditions cannot be met, a central stock is the advisable option.
